KOZHIKODE: ‘Katha, Katha, Kaaranam?’, a short film on rehabilitation of cured inmates of mental hospitals in Kerala and efforts made by the government, will be screened at Tagore Centenary Hall in the city on October 14.
Talking to reporters here District Sub Judge R L Baiju said the film directed by Sudhi Krishnan would also be shown in all schools, residential associations, NGO camps and many other places in the state free of cost.
Film stars Sridevi Unni, Rajesh Hebbar, Suresh Babu, Madhu Sreekumar and well known writer K P Sudheera play in lead roles in the film jointly produced by Kozhikode Government Mental Hospital, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Million Movie Makers, he said.
Kerala Panchayat and Social Justice Minister Dr M K Muneer, senior CPI (M) leader A Pradeep Kumar, MLA, actor Parvathi Menon, ‘Ennu Ninte Moideen’ fame, Director Salam Bapu senior BJP leader Adv P S Sreedharan Pillai, among others, would attend, he added.
